Tempest & Jay

Okay, so the past few weeks have been rough. Due to WordPress complications, I can’t share the GIPH of Sylvester the cat banging his head into a telephone pole – but you get the idea.

Needless to say, the new publisher lives and learns, and the past few weeks have been a steep learning curve. You know when your body fails, and your brain stalls, but you still have a bajillion things to do? Then you face the terrifying reality that you’re releasing a book for an author who deserves a best-seller sticker and a window seat on every bookshop – and you feel hopelessly underqualified.

But life is just like that sometimes, and in the grand scheme of things, we all just need to accept that we’re going to have rough days.

So, how do we get through it?

I have a list of things. But today, I’d like to share one that is a newer addition, and I’d like to thank my good friend Keith Goodrich for treating me to it when we went down island about three weeks ago.

It’s a very simple cocktail that takes at minimum, two ingredients: tonic water, and vanilla vodka.

But recently, I decided to throw in my own version of a frozen fruit cocktail and wow! It is good!

It’s a cool refreshing treat that just might help spare whatever sanity you have left. So, without further ado, here’s a quick version of Vanilla Bliss.

Please remember to enjoy responsibly. Thank you.

  • Pour 1 or 2 ounces of vanilla vodka into the cup.
  • Add frozen fruit
  • Gently pour in the tonic water… and if you have a little extra top up your glass later.
  • Sip and enjoy the bliss. Add a mint leaf if you wish.

Notes

Once more, we’re an indulgence post, we don’t do calories, but the closest you could find is probably on the can.
Enjoy!
